Rating Definition:

Fine overall with much of the original finish, a few scattered patches of light pitting/oxidation, and a few scattered minor handling marks on the refinished wood. Mechanically excellent. Bayonet is fine.

Manufactured 1886, rear sight replaced, cleaning rod too short. With socket bayonet and scabbard with frog.

Rating Definition:

Fair overall with much of the refinished blue, scattered light pitting/oxidation, and a hairline crack and scattered minor handling marks in the wood. Mechanically excellent. Bayonet and scabbard are fine.
