"1856" dated lock. Includes a "U.S." marked socket bayonet with leather scabbard.

Fair with a few parts refinished, heavy wear and pitting, some replacement parts, absent removed sling swivels, absent rear sight. Refinished stock is good with dents and scratches, a crack on bottom, and a small pearl inlay on top of the wrist. Mechanically fine. Bayonet and scabbard are good.

Shortened. "1864" dated lock. Upside down "RM" carved on right of buttstock.

Good overall as refinished, with pitting, wear and brown patina, and cracks and handling marks in the stock. Mechanically fine.
