Manufactured 1878, faint cartouche along with "2/10/A" on the left of the wood, "47" on comb, and "L/46" on top of breech, "JOHN NELLIS." marked in a couple spots on the bottom of the stock.

Fine, with much of the refinished blue and case colors, some scattered light pitting, and the wood having a minor crack and some minor edge chips and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured 1891, "SWP/1891" cartouche, "65thREG.S.N.Y." stamped on right of stock, rod bayonet.

Good, with a mottled bright grey and brown patina, some scattered light spotting/oxidation, and some scattered minor chips and handling marks on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
