David F. Clark Inspected U.S. Colt Cavalry Model Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter and John Kopec Letter

Factory letter (copy) states revolver was delivered to U.S. Government Inspector at the Colt plant on March 8, 1887 as part of a 450 gun shipment. Grip has cartouches and "1887" date, and "28" stamped on butt of grip. Visible serial number match (ejector rod housing could not be removed). With M1872 cleaning rod. Included John Kopec letter (copy) states the revolver was previously listed in his survey, falls between two Artillery Models (nos. 121151 and 121154), remains in original Cavalry Model configuration, "28" is likely a militia armory rack number.

ConditionGood overall with traces of original finish in and around the ejector rod housing, otherwise a gray patina and grip with minor-moderate dings. Mechanically fine.
