Description:

One of approximately 9,000 manufactured/converted c. 1871-1878 with the first 1,100 made for the U.S. Army. "A" marked on the barrel and trigger guard. "A" and "P" marked on the cylinder. Mixed serial numbers with matching conversion serial number "926" on major components as was common with these conversions.

Rating Definition:

Very good overall, with a few areas of original finish, shortened barrel, worn grips. Action needs work as half cock position is absent.
