Manufactured in 1849. COLT'S/PATENT/U.S." stamped on the left of the frame. Slight traces of a cartouche on both sides of grip. Unnumbered wedge and cylinder, otherwise visible numbers match with file marks through butt number.

Good overall with a smooth dark patina, pitting, brass grip straps have an attractive appearance, high edge wear on grip. Mechanically fine.
