Included with the lot are a War Trophy Registration certificate and Temporary Export License (note: the Export License S/N is off by one digit, which we believe to be a typographical error) dated 6 July 1970 identifying this carbine as the property of a Captain Richard Wright of the Second Brigade, First Cavalry Division (Airborne). Active in Vietnam from 1965 to 1971, the 2nd Brigade participated in many combat operations, including the Battle of An Ninh, one of the first full ground engagements between American forces and the combat battalions of the Viet Cong. Records on Captain Wright are limited, but indicate graduation from West Point as a Second Lieutenant in 1968. Provenance: The 50 year Collection of Johnny Walker Birmingham Pistol Wholesale

Rating Definition:

Good, with mild spotting, areas of brown patina, and light handling marks overall. The stock shows scuffs, wear and tear, and staining appropriate to a jungle-used combat weapon.
