Description:

One of around 1,500 manufactured in 1855-1857 with 8 inch barrels. These rare pistols are part of the historic evolution of lever action designs culminating in the New Haven Arms Co. Henry rifle and Winchester Model 1866. These distinctive lever action pistols remain among the most famous of antique American firearms and are highly sought after.

Rating Definition:

Fine with original finish mixed with dark patina and mild oxidation on the iron, attractive aged patina on the very fine brass, some chips on the grips, and mostly minor age and storage related wear. Running the lever does not lock the hammer properly; but it functions fine if the hammer is manually cocked.
