Early Production U.S. Winchester M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine

Manufactured in 1942 in the first Winchester production block, serial range 1000000-1349999. Undated "W" marked Winchester barrel, "I-cut" high wood stock with boxed "O.G" rebuild cartouche stamped on the left wrist, "W" in the sling inlet, crossed cannons cartouche on the right, a painted "3" on the bottom of the pistol grip, unmarked two-rivet handguard, self-contained operating rod spring, "O" and "M" markings on right of trigger housing with "12" on the bottom, "W" hammer, checkered push button safety, "W" magazine catch, "W" blued flat top bolt, correct unmarked operating rod, "S" marked L-flip rear sight, type I barrel band, and "SW" magazine.

ConditionFine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently restored back to World War II configuration, with light edge wear, and crisp receiver markings. Stock is very good as re-oiled, with a reglued cracked section visible at the rear area next to the operating rod channel, a small filled in repair on top of the handguard, scattered light scratches and dents, and defined stamps. Mechanically excellent.
