A) U.S. Saginaw S.G. M1 Carbine

Description:

Undated Saginaw S.G. barrel, "RMC" and "B" marked "I" cut high-wood stock with "A A G" (Augusta Arsenal) rebuild mark. Includes a web sling and oiler.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently partially restored to World War II configuration, with signs of cleaning and cold bluing on the barrel along with softened barrel markings, limited minor edge wear, limited spotting/brown patina, and otherwise limited handling marks. The stock is also fine as sanded. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver from the first production block (between serial numbers 1,550,000 and 1,662,519) manufacture from February 1943 to September 1943. Undated Rock-Ola barrel, "GE-Q" marked L-flip sight, along with "Q-RMC" and "ordnance wheel" marked high-wood stock. Includes a web sling and oiler.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently assembled back into World War II configuration, with some brown patina showing on the barrel band, rear sight, and trigger housing, fading on the slide, minor freckling, and mild handling marks. Stock is very fine with minor scuffs and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
