Description:

Made in the style of the Fairbairn-Sykes Commando Knife, developed by the British and adopted by America, with reports of similar knives in use with intelligence agencies well into the 1960's. It measures 11 1/2" overall, with a 6 3/4" double-edged spear point blade. The hilt is of cast copper with a blue finish and and checkering that extends all the way to the guard. Includes a desirable "pancake flipper" sheath of brown leather and OD green finished metal.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, the blade and hilt retaining most of the original blue finish, some light handling wear on the grip area, and some light wear on the edges of the blade. The sheath is also very fine with most of the green enamel finish, a few patches of mild flaking/oxidation, and minimal wear on the leather.
