A) U.S. Eddystone Model 1917 Rifle

Description:

Manufactured in 1918. "E/flaming bomb/6-18"marked barrel, "R" marked bolt, unmarked stock. Includes a "1917" dated Winchester M1917 bayonet (tightly fits the rifle) and scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with some minor spotting/freckling, limited edge wear, and scattered minor handling marks. The stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled with attractive fiddle-back grain and a few minor dents. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is good.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1918, subsequently upgraded with "Hatcher" hole on the left. "S A/ordnance bomb/7-42" marked replacement barrel, "R" marked replacement bolt with matching serial number electro-stenciled on top the body, and fitted with an "S" marked type 'C' stock and "D28179"part number marked handguard. Includes a World War I era brass hooked M1907 leather sling, "U. C." marked Utica Cutlery M1 bayonet, and scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with limited minor edge wear, and minor brown patina/spotting showing. The stock is fine as sanded and reoiled, with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is very good.
