The included letter from historian Roe Clark states the gun was shipped on February 19, 1924 to Simmons Hardware Co. with 30" barrels choked modified/full, pistol grip stock, and a 14 1/2" LOP. A second shipping date of October 22, 1925 is also listed, which, Clark suspects indicates the shipment of the gun with the second set of barrels fitted which are included and measure 30" with improved cylinder/full chokes. Also included is correspondence with a previous owner and noted author Michael McIntosh and a mutton leg case. Chambers measured 2 3/4" with ejectors, chokes measured cylinder/cylinder, and 13 3/8" LOP.

Good, refurbished with shortened barrels, silvered action, repaired cracks at the wrist, chips and cracks in the wood, and some smoothed checkering. Mechanically excellent. Extra barrels are very fine. Case is good.
