Manufactured c. 1889, this pistol was named "Le Centenaire" in honor of the centennial anniversary of the adoption of the U.S. Constitution and the outbreak of the French Revolution. It has the standard markings on the left side of the frame, including "POING-PISTOLET" (punch pistol). The barrel is a plain smoothbore tube sealed via the cartridge rim being pressed in place by the hammer upon firing like the Remington No. 1 Vest Pocket Pistol. The bottom portion of the pistol has a set of metal knuckles.

Fine, with much of the original finish and some light wear showing a brown patina. Mechanically fine.
