Bore Condition: The bore is partially dark with distinct rifling.
Description:

Renowned Colt expert and author John Kopec examined this Cavalry Model revolver and recorded his observations in his included letter of authentication. Kopec wrote, "Because our subject revolver has been completely restored it would not be possible to determine if it had been modified from an Artillery or Cavalry revolver. There were at least three partial sets of serial number stamps used during this restoration." The patent dates and U.S. frame markings are original stampings. O.W,. Ainsworth's sub-inspector "A" initials on the back strap, cylinder, and barrel are re-stamped while the "A" on the trigger guard appears to be original. The barrel address also appears to be original. With a modern Colt hardwood case.

Rating Definition:

Fine as restored with a few handling marks, a cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent.
