Manufactured in 1899. Boxed script "JSA/1899" cartouche stamped on the left stock wrist, with a circled script "P" proof on bottom. Includes a brown leather sling, metal muzzle cover, and three-piece cleaning rod in the butt compartment.

Very good with some original finish, smooth gray and brown patina on the balance with some patches of light freckling. Stock is also very good with defined edges, scattered dents and scratches, and defined stamps. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured in 1899. One of approximately 8,000 altered between c. 1906-1916 with bayonet lug and muzzle turned down to accept the standard M1892 or M1905 knife bayonets. Boxed "J.F.C." cartouche stamped on the left stock wrist.

Very good as arsenal refurbished, with some of the finish, smooth gray and brown patina, and scattered freckling. Stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled, with numerous scattered dents and scratches, a few cracks, and a legible cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
