Bore Condition: The bore is darkened with pitting/oxidation and faint rifling.
Description:

Manufactured 1885, with the scarce early "takedown pin" at the front of the receiver, and the barrel and magazine tube shortened. An included photograph of the factory letter confirms the round barrel, caliber configuration (with no mention of takedown, which was standard) as well as receipt at the warehouse on 17 February 1885 and shipment the next day.

Rating Definition:

Good, with a mix of artificial grey and brown patina, some polishing evidence and scattered light pitting, and a few light handling marks on the refinished wood. Mechanically fine.
