Manufactured late 19th century. Lock marked "LONDON" at the center and "HAW" under the pan, Birmingham proofs on upper left of barrel, Native American style brass tack decoration and traces of red paint finish on the wood. Includes a copy of "Indian Trade Relics" by Lar Hothem, where a very similar fowling piece is shown on p. 35.

Good, with mostly dark patina and traces of protective varnish, mild pitting throughout, and wood with a few hairline cracks, some lost tacks, and scattered minor handling marks.
