Both pistols were manufactured in the mid-19th century and have "DERINGER/PHILADELA" marked locks and breech plugs and seven-groove rifling. The first pistol comes in a case with balls, a powder flask, cap tin, and a ball mold.

Very good with distinct markings and engraving, much of the original finish remaining, light oxidation, aged patina on the German silver mounts, and mild overall wear. Mechanically fine.

Fair with mostly distinct engraving and markings gray and brown patina and mild pitting on the lock and barrel, aged patina on the mounts, and repaired stock with gaps around the breech and lock and worn checkering. Mechanically fine.
