The included factory letter lists this revolver as a "Colt Special Target Bisley Model Revolver" in .32 Colt with a 7 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, and rubber grips and indicates it was the sole gun of this type in a shipment to Schoverling, Daly & Gales in New York City on July 15, 1897. Colt only manufactured 976 Colt Bisley Flattop Target revolvers in 1894 to 1913, and this revolver is one of only 44 of these revolvers chambered for the .32 Colt cartridge. The matching serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, and the matching partial serial number "575" is on the back of the cylinder. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection

Rating Definition:

Very good with some original blue finish in the protected areas, gray and brown patina on the balance, mild pitting, and general moderate wear. The grips are also good with aged tones, a chip on the bottom left panel, and mild handling wear. Mechanically excellent.
