A) J.P. Lower Marked Pocket Pistol

Manufactured c. 1859 to 1869 and attributed to Slotter & Co. "J.P. LOWER" marked lock and "PHILADA" marked barrel. Lower was at the time an employee of dealer J.C. Grubb.

ConditionGood with crisp engraving and markings, light original finish, minor oxidation, chipped hammer, and aged patina on the mounts. The re-oiled stock is fair and has some cracks, a spliced repair on the forend, and distinct checkering. Mechanically fine.

ConditionGood with crisp engraving and markings, traces of original finish and gray and brown patina on the barrel and lock, light aged patina on the mounts, oxidation/pitting, and mild wear. The stock is fair with cracks and repairs, worn checkering, and mild wear. Mechanically fine.
