The typical "RICHMOND, VA" marking on the breech of the barrel has been lost with time on this example, but the serial number remains marked on the upper tang and tail of the lockplate.

Fair, with dark brown and grey patinas, mild pitting throughout, and a repair in the upper tang. The wood is also fair with extensive wear and chipping, cracks, evidence of previous tack decoration, and a portion of the buttstock replaced/extended. Mechanically functions.
