A) Kentucky Marked Meriden Manufacturing Co. Triplett & Scott Repeating Rimfire Carbine

Bore Condition: The bore is darked with some patches of light pitting and distinct rifling.
Description:

Manufactured c. 1864-1865. Approximately 3,000 30 inch barrel "carbines" were manufactured as part of a contract for 5,000 for Kentucky in 1865.

Rating Definition:

Very good with some original finish, smooth brown and gray patina, and scattered surface spotting/corrosion. Wood is good, with cracks around the wrist, a sanded and re-oiled area at the left of the wrist, and some scattered light scratches. The magazine tube cover return spring is non-functional, otherwise mechanically fine.

Manufactured c. 1863-1865.

Rating Definition:

Good as refinished, with brown patina, silvering on the hammer, and scattered spotting and pitting. Wood is also good as sanded and re-oiled, slightly undersized, with some scattered light handling marks. Absent rear sight. Mechanically fine.
