Bore Condition: The bore is dark with pitting/oxidation and no visible rifling.
Description:

"1864" dated lock with faint "C.S.A." and "FAYETTEVILLE" markings, five-pointed star stamped on left stock flat, barrel bands appear to be replaced, barrel appears to be bored smooth.

Rating Definition:

Good, with mostly dark brown patina, some scattered light to mild pitting, and wood with a few minor cracks, chips/dings, and the forestock above the lower barrel band replaced. Mechanically fine.
