A) U.S. Springfield Model 1861 Rifle-Musket

Description:

"1862" dated tail of the lock, Federal Eagle and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" at the front of the lock, non-visible barrel date, partly legible faded "V/P/eagle head" proofs at the upper left breech of the barrel, "L.F.R" inspection initials on the left breech flat, and two bordered script cartouches stamped on the left stock flat.

Rating Definition:

Good with scattered light pitting/freckling and wear. Stock is very good with scattered dents and scratches, a few cracks, and visible cartouches. Mechanically excellent.
