Description:

Approximately 2,100 of these Colt Model 1860 Richards-Mason conversions are reported to have been manufactured c. 1877-1878 as cartridge revolvers using a mix of percussion revolver parts on hand and newly fabricated components. They are one of the scarcest Colt cartridge conversion revolver variations and were manufactured concurrently with the famous Colt Single Action Army. This revolver has matching visible serial numbers and the two-line 1871 and 1872 patent marking on the left stamped over the original percussion era "COLT/PATENT" marking.

Rating Definition:

Very good as professionally restored with the vast majority of the blue and casehardened finish remaining, some minor wear, and replacement grip with age lines. Mechanically fine.
