Two American Percussion Long Rifles

A) Engraved, Silver Inlaid, and Incised Carved Conversion Smoothbore American Long Rifle

This early 19th century rifle has no visible markings, but the tag with the rifle attributes it to Jacob Albright.

ConditionGood with gray and brown patina, oxidation, pitting, dark aged patina on the brass and silver mounts, cracks and spliced repairs in the stock, added/replacement inlays, and general moderate overall wear. Mechanically needs work.

Mostly dates to the mid-19th century.

ConditionPoor as refinished and partially rebuilt/restored with pieces of varying ages, spliced stock, cracks, loss at the breech, dark patina on the barrel and lock along with pitting and oxidation, and generally moderate overall wear. Mechanically fine.
