This style dates to around the second quarter of the 17th century in Central Europe. A Suhl marking is on the left at the breech. Similar pistols were used in the English Civil War and would not have been out of place in early North American colonial settlements such as Jamestown.

Good as cleaned with mostly silver-gray patina, faint pitting, and mild overall wear, including some dents and scrapes on the re-oiled letter.
