Description:

Receiver manufactured in early 1942, "RA/flaming bomb/12-41" marked barrel, along with "R" (Remington Arms) marked bolt assembly, upper band, and front sight hood. Fitted with a walnut handguard and 'S' profile grasping groove stock with "RA" (Remington Arms) and "ordnance wheel" stamps on the left of the wrist along with a "JBL-P" (unknown) rebuild stamp. Includes a steel hooked M1907 leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with softened barrel markings, some minor edge wear, scattered dried grease/brown patina visible. some limited minor pitting under the finish, and some light handling marks. The stock is also very fine as sanded and re-oiled with some overhang of the handguard and scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in late 1943, from the first production block (serial number range 3,250,020 to 3,651,519, with those above 3.56 million used by S'G' Grand Rapids) manufactured by the Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors from May 1943 to May 1944. Undated Saginaw S.G. barrel, "CM" marked type III barrel band, "J.A.O." type III adjustable peep rear sight, "PI" type V operating rod, "SU" blued flat top bolt, and Inland milled trigger housing with circled "S" rotary safety, "WA" type IV magazine catch, and unmarked type III hammer. Fitted with a replacement walnut low-wood stock marked "RMC" in the sling channel along with a boxed "RMC" (Rock-Ola Music Company) and "ordnance wheel" stamps on the right of the butt, a "RSC" two-rivet handguard, and a blued "IW" magazine. Includes a web sling, metal oiler, and "UPDIKE AWNING CO./1943" marked dual cell web magazine pouch. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, retaining much of the finish with a modified front sight blade, some scattered dried grease/brown patina visible, some limited minor spotting, and minor handling marks. The stock is also very fine as re-oiled. Mechanically excellent.
