Per the included factory letter, this pistol was part of a 1,400 piece shipment from Colt to the U.S. Government via Springfield Armory on October 17, 1941. Matching numbered slide, "R.S." inspected frame, reinforced Colt grips, "COLT/45 AUTO" marked magazine and "COLT 45 AUTO" marked barrel.

Very good as professionally refinished, with some thinning on the grip frame and high edges, and minimal handling marks and spotting. The grips are very good, with some minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
