Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with strong rifling and some minor oxidation in the grooves.
Description:

Manufactured in September 1942. Original, parts correct with "S-A-9-42" marked barrel with bright chamber, World War II era Springfield Armory narrow base gas cylinder with retained front sight screw cover, chamfered lock, and single-slot screw, type 1 lock-bar rear sight assembly, "-12SA/RE6B" bolt, unmodified "3 SA" operating rod, "11" follower, and "-8-SA" trigger housing with "-3 SA" hammer, "-9SA" safety, and unmarked milled trigger guard. Fitted with original "S.A./E.McF." (Col. Earl McFarland) inspection and proof firing cartouched walnut stock set.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining original parkerized finish with light edge wear, light cycling wear, thinning on the buttplate, some brown patina showing, and some mild handling wear. The stock is also very fine with a loose fit to the trigger housing and a clear cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
