Description:

1957 production receiver, the last year of M1 Garand rifle production at the U.S. Springfield Armory, ending at serial number 6,099,905. "SA" marked and "3 56" dated barrel with bright chamber ring, post-war "SA" marked operating rod, "SA/Y01" bolt, and "SA" trigger housing with "SA" hammer and "SA-11" safety. Fitted with a boxed "DoD eagle" inspection stamped walnut stock set. Includes a M1 pattern web sling.

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine, retaining original parkerized finish on the receiver with some minor edge wear, light cycling wear, dried grease, limited visible brown patina, and some minor handling marks. The stock is very fine with some minor dents and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
