Description:

Introduced late in World War II, the M2 Carbine was designed to work both as a factory-made machine gun as well as an armorer upgrade to the extant M1 carbine; this flexibility allowed armorers and arsenals to rapidly swap M1 and M2 components as needed to fulfill TOE requirements. This example was factory made and marked as an M2, with information from the consignor indicating that it left the United States and re-entered the country via Interarms, though their marking cannot be found. "P" marked blade front and "I.R.CO." marked adjustable rear sights, unmarked barrel, and a factory original "M2" model marking on the receiver ring. Fitted with a "W" marked round bolt, Inland milled trigger housing, "H.I." hammer, "ADI" selector switch, "Q" operating rod, "H.T" flip safety, "HI" M2 magazine catch, and an "AI" 15-round magazine with the other internal components unmarked. Installed in a low wood M2 "perch belly" pistol grip stock with a 4-rivet upper handguard and green canvas sling. Includes an extra 30-round magazine. Note: This item is restricted under various state-level assault weapons bans and cannot be sold or transferred to residents of CA, CT, DE, HI, IL, MD, NJ, NY, and WA. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.
