A) U.S. Harrington & Richardson Arms Co. M1 Garand Rifle

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1955, "HRA" marked and "5-55" dated barrel with bright chamber ring, "HRA/U" bolt, "HRA" operating rod, and a "HRA-N" trigger housing with "HRA" hammer and safety. Fitted with a "DoD eagle" inspected walnut stock set. Includes a web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal refurbished, with a broken/partly absent cracked rear sight base, minor edge wear, some limited minor spotting, and some minor handling marks. The stock is fine as sanded and re-oiled, with some dents, and defined stamps. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

British proofed receiver manufactured in early 1944, from the second production block (serial number range 2,352,520 to 2,912,519) manufactured by Underwood Elliot-Fisher from July 1943 to March 1944. "S A 1 53" marked and British proofed replacement Springfield Armory barrel, "MMQ" marked type III barrel band, "U" and "heart/F" marked type II operating rod, "U" round-top bolt, and a "U" fabricated trigger housing with "E.I." type IV safety, and "AM" type III hammer. Fitted with a M2 'pot-belly' walnut stock marked "circle/K" in the sling channel and stamped "3023005" on the right of the buttstock, and "W" four-rivet handguard. Includes a web sling and metal oiler. Magazine is absent.

Rating Definition:

Good as arsenal refurbished, with edge wear, brown patina, some minor spotting showing. and some mild handling marks. The stock is very good as sanded and re-oiled, with numerous scattered dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
