Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with some light oxidation and distinct rifling.
Description:

This is one of approximately 1,000 carbines assembled for Merwin & Bray by Ball & Williams following the bankruptcy of Dwight, Chapin & Co. and sold to the State of Kentucky by April of 1864.

Rating Definition:

Good with dark gray and brown patina, oxidation/pitting, replacement barrel band refinished wood, and moderate wear. Mechanically fine.
