Harrington & Richardson Handy Gun .410 Smoothbore Pistol, Class III/NFA AOW C&R with Holster

Produced in the 1920s and 30s as an inexpensive and effective way of dealing with varmints at close ranges. Sales of the H&R "Handy Gun" and similar weapons were severely restricted with the implementation of the 1934 National Firearms Act. Bead front and frame notch rear sights, with "410-12m/m" on top of the barrel, the two line address on the right side of the frame and "H.&R. "HANDY-GUN"" on the left. Fitted with a smooth forend and a checkered pistol grip stock with a pronounced web spur. Included with the pistol is a leather holster.

ConditionVery good, much of the original finish, with areas of brown and gray patina on the barrel, some fading of the case colors on the frame, and minor dings and spotting overall. Wood is also very good, with some dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent. The holster is fair, with some tearing and a missing strap. NOTE: This weapon is registered as a National Firearms Act (NFA), AOW (Any Other Weapon). Although NOT a fully automatic weapon it is still controlled as a NFA weapon that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479. It is also classified as a "Curios or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are also subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
