A) William S. Chilcote Huntingdon School Over/Under Combination Gun

Bore Condition: The bores are darkened with pitting/corrosion, with visible rifling in the rifled bore.
Description:

The Kentucky Rifle Foundation indicates William S. Chilcote (1850-1887) of Todd Township, Pennsylvania, was an apprentice of his uncle James Stapleton and a late member of the Huntingdon School riflemakers active c. 1870-1887. "W.S. CHILCOTE" marked on top of the upper barrel, "LEMAN/LANCTR.Pa" marked on both locks. Approximately .44 caliber rifled upper barrel and .65 caliber smoothbore lower barrel.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished, with brown patina, and some light pitting and minor wear. Stock is also very good with a few light handling marks. Hammers slip out of the cocked position, mechanically needs work.

No visible barrel markings, no visible markings on the left lock, "C. ROBBINS" marked on the right lock. Approximately .50 caliber rifled barrel and .50 caliber smoothbore barrel.

Rating Definition:

Good as refinished, with brown patina, light pitting and wear. Stock is also good with scattered light dents and scratches. Mechanically fine.
