Manufactured in 1800, with a small "1800" dated stamp on the right of the buttstock, "TOWER" marked vertically at the tail of the lock, British proofs and a small "B&S" marking at the upper left breech of the barrel, small "IW" stamped on the left stock flat, and large "41/ARGYLE . M" stamped on the left of the buttstock.

Good as refinished, with brown patina, scattered pitting visible underneath the finish, corrosion and wear. Stock is very good with some scattered dents, scratches, a few cracks, and defined stamps. Absent sling swivels. Mechanically fine.
