Manufactured c. late 18th century to early 19th century, twist pattern barrel, lock marked "JOSPH MANTON" with light floral and border engraving, left of barrel fitted for a snap bayonet which is now absent.

Good, with traces of original finish, moderate wear and some light pitting, and the wood having a splice, a few cracks, and some chips along with handling marks. Mechanically functions.
