Manufactured c. late 1700s to early 1800s, "McDERMOT" marked lock, "M-N 1854" marked in the barrel groove, snap bayonet mounted on the left.

Good, with mostly grey patina, distinct Damascus patterns on the barrel, scattered light pitting, and a minor crack and some minor handling marks in the wood. Mechanically excellent.
