It was the sole gun of this type in a shipment to Colt's San Francisco Agency on October 21, 1890. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, trigger guard, and butt. Per "The Official Record of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver, 1873-1895," only 95 .22 caliber Target Model revolvers were made. Of those, 67 were blue with 7 1/2 inch barrels. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection

Rating Definition:

Very good as period re-plated with much of the nickel plating remaining, dark brown patina on most of the balance, some oxidation and pitting, patent marking on the left side of the frame removed due to polishing, and mild overall wear. The grips are fine. Mechanically fine.
