It was part of a large order containing 35 carbines, 100 business rifles, and 60 sporting rifles, but the latter were sent to E.S. Harris in New York City. The consignor's notes list the carbine in .50-70 and state that he purchased the carbine from Hank Blitz of Box Elder, Montana, around 1961. "157903" renumbered barrel and "157372" numbered action. Provenance: The Hank Blitz Collection; Property of a Gentleman

ConditionFair with gray and brown patina, mild pitting, chips on the wood, replacement parts/modifications, filled sling swivel mounting point on the buttstock, and general moderate wear. Mechanically fine.
