Good as refinished, with brown patina, scattered pitting. Stock is also good, with discoloration, numerous scattered dents, scratches and nicks. Mechanically fine.

"859" (1859) dated lock. Many of these were imported for use during the American Civil War. Converted to smoothbore.

Good with gray and brown patina, scattered freckling and light pitting, and modified filed top of the hammer. Stock is also good as sanded and re-oiled, with discoloration, some scattered light scratches and nicks, and a chip visible behind the lock area. Two absent barrel bands, one absent barrel band retaining spring, absent sling swivel on the trigger guard. Mechanically fine.
