A) Needham Conversion Alfred Jenks & Son "Bridesburg" Model 1861 Rifle-Musket

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with some corrosion in the muzzle and distinct rifling.
Description:

Manufactured in 1863 as a percussion rifle-musket and converted c. 1869 to a centerfire breech loader. "1863" dated "BRIDESBURG" marked lock. Many of these were used in the Fenian Raids in their attempted raids of Canada.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished, with much of the finish, a few softened markings, and scattered freckling/flaking. Stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled, with a few light dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

3,007 were assembled in January to June of 1865 utilizing breech units supplied by the Joslyn Firearms Co.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with traces of original finish visible in protected areas, scattered freckling and some light pitting. Stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled, with scattered light dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
