One of 4,250 manufactured c. 1843-1846. Dated "1845" on the barrel. Large oval loading aperture. Provenance: The Malcolm B. Troup, Captain, US Army, Retired Collection

Rating Definition:

Fair with the forend cut down, absent barrel bands and buttplate, cracks and repairs, and moderate wear. Mechanically functions but fair.
