Manufactured c. early 19th century. "TOWER" marked tail of the lock with "crown/GR" royal cypher at the center, Birmingham proofs stamped on the breech, and "A/32" marked on top of the buttplate.

Good with scattered spotting/corrosion and pitting, and visible markings in the metal. Stock is fair with numerous scattered insect holes, dents, scratches and cracks. Mechanically fine.

"MANTON & Co/LONDON & CALCUTTA" marked lock, Birmingham proofs on the breech, Nepalese type unit markings on top of the buttplate.

Very good with scattered spotting/corrosion and light pitting, and visible markings in the metal. Stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled, with some light dents and scratches, a few cracks and discreet filled in repairs. Absent bayonet catch piece in the forend, and absent front barrel retainer (barrel is still firmly held in place). Mechanically fine.
