Bore Condition: The bore is fairly bright.
Description:

Manufactured c. 1770s-1780s. Features silver wire inlays and silver mask pommel caps with Birmingham hallmarks (no date code) and "CF" (Charles Freeth) silversmith marks. Notes with the pistols point that they are very similar to the pair owned by Thomas Jefferson. The custom case also contains a powder flask, balls, mold, vice, and rod. These pistols were featured in Robert Holter's article "Proofs on Sterling Silver."

Rating Definition:

Good as partially restored with moderate overall wear, much of the silver wire absent, and a gap between the grip and frame. Mechanically fine.
