Manufactured in 1934, the highly desirable "K" date "S/42" code Lugers were part of the effort of the relatively fresh German government to start moving out from under the restrictions of the Versailles Treaty in preparation for their wars of aggression. Fixed sights, with the "K" date on the chamber, "S/42" code on the front toggle link, "O][37" stamps on the receiver and barrel, and "droop wing eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, receiver, and breech block. Added to the pistol is an "X" on the left side of the receiver, stamps from the Birmingham Proof House on the barrel, receiver and toggle assembly, and an American importer mark on the inside of the receiver. One magazine (unnumbered but "S/42" marked) included.

Good, with areas of gray and brown patina, some areas of pitting (heaviest on the left grip screw), light scratches and dings, and minor spotting. The grips are good, with chipping on the left panel and mild dings overall. Mechanically excellent.
