Manufactured in 1912. "Crown/SPANDAU/1912" marked and "crown/Gothic letter" proofed receiver ring. "S" marked and droop wing "eagle" proofed barrel, "S/42" rebuild marked rear sight base. Matching visible serial numbers on the barrel, bolt assembly, magazine floor plate, barrel bands, arsenal replacement rear sight, and buttplate, with the trigger housing re-numbered to match. Fitted with a grasping groove walnut stock with matching serial number and faint "eagle/swastika" and droop wing "eagle" proofs. Includes a leather sling and metal muzzle cover. Absent cleaning rod.

Very good as arsenal refurbished, with some minor edge wear, limited minor pitting under the finish, some small patches of thinning and brown patina, and scattered light handling marks. The stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled with numerous scattered minor scrapes and dents. Mechanically excellent.

Very good as refinished, retaining some of the finish with scattered minor pitting under the finish, light edge wear, some thinning revealing mostly brown patina, and mild handling marks. The stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled with numerous scattered minor scratches and compression marks. Mechanically excellent.
