Receiver originally manufactured in September of 1944 and subsequently arsenal upgraded to the M1D sniper configuration, a procedure more typically performed on Springfield-made M1 rifles. Sniper rifles so converted were used during Korea and the Vietnam War. "S-A-3-52" barrel, "-12-SA" trigger housing, "6 SA" relief cut operating rod, and a Winchester bolt and hammer. A Norwegian paper label is attached to the rear of the receiver. The M84 scope is numbered "11015", with a sliding sunshield and rubber eyepiece, and scope ring numbered "3315223". Fitted with an "MRT/2 52" leather cheek piece and a canvas web sling.

Fine as arsenal refurbished, upgraded to M1D configuration, with most of the finish, and some patches of light pitting visible underneath the finish. Stock is very good as sanded and re-oiled, with scattered dings and scratches on the wood. Mechanically excellent. Scope is fine with crisp clear optics.
